Signal Check: Before permanently mounting the camera, check the live feed in the app at the installation spot to ensure a stable Wi-Fi connection. Avoid placing the camera behind thick concrete or brick walls, as they heavily degrade signal penetration.

Clear the Field of View: Ensure there are no large swaying objects, such as tree branches, bushes, or moving flags, within the PIR detection zone to minimize unnecessary false triggers.

Mounting Height: Install the camera 7–8 feet (2–2.5 meters) above the ground. This height optimizes the detection range of the PIR sensor and helps prevent blind spots directly underneath the camera.

Detection Angle: PIR sensors are highly sensitive to side-to-side (lateral) movement but less sensitive to objects moving directly toward or away from the lens. For the best performance, angle the camera so that expected traffic crosses the detection path diagonally or horizontally rather than straight on.

Avoid Thermal Interference: Do not aim the camera directly at intense light sources (such as direct sunlight or streetlights) or rapid temperature-changing areas (like air conditioning vents, heating outlets, or vehicle exhausts). These can trigger false alarms.
